After you read it, I took two lines out and might have reshuffled my balls, but I didn't touch it since, and I am not going to, the moment must remain the decisive chance.

Did you restructure since last night?

I like this. There are some unexpected internal rhymes too.

Our capacity to fail... this will resonate in me for a while. We often hear about this in art too. When one creates a magnificent piece of art, it is when one being almost transcendental and having a glimpse of god. And for a creative person to reconcile with the idea that the most extraordinary aspects of your being didn't come from you, but was loaned to you, all one needs to do is to live with true human love and stubbornness of keep showing up to do one's part.

I just can't work out how I feel about the horrors. They started life imitating the 80s matchbox b line disaster and seem to have slipped into surf pop.

They branded themselves well at first. We're the horrors. A little gothic, a little horrific looking. I liked the track 'Draw Japan' - but how do you move on from this... where's the energy? The Gregorian chants?

They were also buffed by a major label too early I think. A rough scratchy first album would have been lovely.

Oh to surf on an expensive coffin.

bravo on the last two paragraphs remko! you easily overran scruton's illogical assertions.

i found his interpretation of "civilization" and its effects on modern society and his theory on terrorism to be interesting though. i agree that it reflects his internal state to some degree, at least.

This is actually really interesting because I recognise the Dada collages - maybe I recognise the idea and have seen someone else's - but I've not heard of this guy's fashion photography. I can definitely see an influence on Nick Knight's work - if only because in the Knight film linked here he borrows the cutting rectangles. Knight works predominately with light for his distortions. Projecting patterns and shapes onto his models.

Read your article on Coffee. Loved it! My name is Becky and I live in Southern California. After reading your article, I followed it to your website and absolutely adore your pics of Sevilla. I have yet to go to Europe but am planning on it very soon. My last name actually originates from a small town 13 or so miles West of Sevilla...a little town called "Olivares" that apparently traces back to Roman times. I'm very excited about going! Thanks for the great info. :)

Hurts everyday to see the plaza flattened to nothing. I pretty much grew up there and it truly was a second home. Childhood hurts ._.
